Our Lower School has embarked on a fascinating project. We are teaching our students about the world. We have been designing our curriculum since the idea came to us from Kim Soscie, our fifth grade SS teacher who felt our students needed to widen their lens to the world at an early age. When we teach foundations of anything, be it a second language, swimming, reading or soccer, we need to introduce skills and information as early as possible to form foundations. Our LS goes Global aims to promote understanding of the cultures of the world by connecting our students with information and research skills, people, art and experiences.

there is value to true leadership in a world of fear. true leadership means following your own truth if it is pure and for the good of whatever organization you are making decisions for: family, school, organization, community, … fear makes people do ugly things: undermine, condescend, and judge. when you let your life speak, you can clear a path that will help shape the world for the better. if its right, people will follow. How about this for the name of our new blog? (The full quote from George Fox in 1656 is “Then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in every one.”)
